I’m going to do my best to not make this sound like a grift, especially because fuck that shit.
But I had a thought when I was at the dayjob, realizing how annoyed I am at how I’ve been spending my time.
In a world that screws you over by the hour, I realize that many of us – myself included – are undervalued in our daily lives. Many of us, not all of us – some of you really are mediocre, and should aim to do better. Hence, why the world is the way it is, full of evil and excess.
Instead of being valued by the hour, I realize that my true, indisputable value lies in what I create, or what I could bring into this world.
In pure capitalistic speak, if you have a good product that you could sell, that’s what makes the real money.
So I’m creating a new rule for myself: create anything, once a day; whether that be a blog post, a guitar recording, something physical, etc., the act of creation creates everything valuable. Nothing should stay in my head, doomed to fade away. Which was always my problem in the past, and that should remain in the past now. I have no other choice. Because if I don’t, the world will not only forget me, it’ll chew me out.
The world will find a way to put everyone in a bucket, determining how much each person is worth. Therefore, it would be beneficial if everyone take back what they can for themselves, in a non-selfish way? Create something, and something great. And if it’s not great, improve it.
It’s not just me – we’re all tired of the same old things.
